Bending an electro-resistance-welded tube may often be resulted in poor bending quality with wider unevenness depending on the relative position of the seam line that exists during on-going bending process of individual bending point. Seam line can be hardly detected on work pieces if they are chromium-plated, polished on its external surface, and/or protruded seam line is removed and polished on the internal work piece. Opton has established to the decisive solution on this by the collaborative power of laser displacement gauge and laser color sensor which allows accurate detection of the seam-position and of color difference leading to statistical processing.

Features

  1. Bending an electro-resistance-welded tube may often be resulted in poor bending quality with wider unevenness depending on the relative position of the seam line that exists during on-going bending process of individual bending point.
  2. Opton original TC Seam Sensor, high testing accuracy and cost oriented, are designed to meet wider testing demands on work pieces with chromium-plated, polished on its external surface, and/or protruded seam line being removed and polished on the internal material.
  3. 3. The smallest roughness (0.06mm) of the weld-seamed surface and material roundness are tested by the condensing-prism type laser displacement gauge.
  4. 4. Minutest color variation caused by welding is detected by high performance laser color sensor with condensing prism.
  5. 5. The obtained data as above indicating for roughness, roundness and color are statistically processed to define the seam line positioning and issue a stop-signal to the rotator of work piece.
